A Wade Hand Painted Floral Art Deco Biscuit Barrel, accompanied by a matching Wade Hand Painted Floral Sugar Bowl, and a pair of decorative candle holders. The biscuit barrel is a large ceramic vessel encased in a silver-toned metal carrying stand, featuring a hand-painted floral pattern with gold scrollwork. The base is clearly marked ‘WADE / MADE IN ENGLAND / HAND PAINTED / C#’. The sugar bowl is a smaller two-handled ceramic vessel with a lid, adorned with a similar hand-painted floral pattern and gold scrollwork. Both ceramic pieces are indicative of a mid-20th century aesthetic, with the biscuit barrel often associated with the Art Deco period. Complementing these are two decorative candle holders, crafted from a resin or composite material shaped as large autumn leaves with integrated foliate faces. One candle holder contains a clear glass votive cup.
