Another Great Auction 11th December
A collection of traditional Scottish sporting brooches, primarily featuring grouse claw kilt pins. The group comprises five items: three taxidermied animal paws, covered in light brown fur and tipped with either silver-toned or gold-toned metal caps, each adorned with a faceted synthetic gem (amber-orange or dark red) and a metal stud. One metal cap features an embossed design. Also included is a brooch featuring a fan of natural game bird feathers, predominantly brown with black banding and hints of red, mounted on a silver-toned metal base with a textured, pointed end and set with a small dark red gem. The fifth item is a brooch carved from what appears to be antler or bone, shaped like a miniature sword hilt, and set with a faceted amber-orange gem.
