Collection of eight assorted vintage sporting and society medals and commemorative pins. The central piece is a large circular bronze medal identified through consensus as the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Affiliated Societies medal, depicting the classical figures Pomona and Flora. The medal is inscribed ‘RHS AFFILIATED SOCIETIES’ around the lower rim. The collection also includes one circular silver-tone medal, partially inscribed ‘CHAMPIONSHIP MEDALL’; a dark metal circular medal dated ‘1789’ featuring a wreath and crossed implements; an enameled purple oval pendant marked ‘HENLEY’ attached to a purple and white textile ribbon; a green enameled trapezoidal pendant marked ‘F SEASON T SANDOWN PARK A 1997’; a green enameled shield-shaped pendant marked ‘R H R 1981′ surmounted by a crown; a pink and purple enameled floral-shaped pendant marked ’09 337’; and a small dark metal bell-shaped lapel pin marked ‘I.D.M.A.’. Several items are attached to textile cords or ribbons.
