Another Great Auction 16th December
A collection of 23 circular numismatic items identified as pre-decimal British or Commonwealth silver threepence (3d) coins. The coins are struck in silver or a silver alloy, consistent with coinage standards for this denomination during the early 20th century. The collection spans the reigns of King George V and King George VI, with visible dates including 1916, 1917, 1919, 1931, and 1935. Reverses display various designs, including the large crowned numeral ‘3’, the earlier cross within a crowned shield motif, and later examples featuring oak leaves and acorns, often accompanied by the inscription ‘THREE PENCE’.
