Another Great Auction 16th December
A collection of seven items consisting of cased numismatic issues and contemporary metal goods. The numismatic portion includes five items, primarily two cased Isle of Man commemorative coins. The first is a 1970 One Crown coin depicting a Manx cat, secured in a clear plastic display case. The second is a 1972 coin, identified by web consensus as the Silver Wedding Anniversary issue, marked ISLE OF MAN and TWENTY-FIVE PENCE, housed in a black plastic display case marked 1947 and 1972. Also present is a small, circular bronze-toned medal or charm fitted with a jump ring, depicting a stylized figure. Two additional black plastic coin cases are included, which appear to contain heavily obscured metallic discs. The collection also includes two contemporary metal cigarette lighters: one traditional silver-toned flip-top style lighter showing visible text suggesting the Zippo brand on the base, and one novelty lighter with a brushed metal body and copper-toned highlights, featuring a prominent raised alien head design.
