Another Great Auction 16th December
A single Mid-Century Modern art glass vase, attributed to the Murano style of Italian glass production, circa 1960s or 1970s. The vessel is constructed from cased blown glass, displaying a vibrant color transition (Amberina style) from a pale orange interior layer to a deep ruby red exterior layer. The form features an irregular, organic, pulled rim. The body is further decorated with applied, pinched glass bosses or prunts arranged vertically around the circumference, creating a textured surface. The base shows evidence of pontil work consistent with hand-blown glass. No manufacturer’s marks or signatures are visible.
