Another Great Auction 16th December
A four-piece tea service constructed of silver plate. The service comprises two large lidded vessels (likely a teapot and a coffee or hot water pot), a handled sugar bowl, and a creamer. The service exhibits a Late Victorian or Edwardian aesthetic, featuring bulbous bodies decorated with repoussé scrollwork and cartouches. Rims and bases are defined by intricate beaded borders. The lids of the pots are topped with decorative pine cone-shaped finials. The larger pots are fitted with dark, ebonized composite or wooden handles. Visible inventory markings include a yellow sticker marked “T185” on the interior base of the sugar bowl, and a small yellow inventory sticker affixed to the shoulder of the right-hand pot.
