Another Great Auction 16th December
A small Chinese bronze bowl featuring a dark brown/black surface patina. The exterior is decorated in high relief with stylized mythological creatures, identified as dragons, situated above a geometric key-fret border near the foot. The interior center and the recessed circular medallion on the base both prominently display the single Chinese character 壽 (Shòu), meaning “Longevity.” This character is highlighted by patches of pale turquoise verdigris corrosion.
