Another Great Auction 16th December
A single piece of Mid-Century Modern art glass attributed to Murano production, executed in the Sommerso technique. The object functions as a decorative bowl or ashtray, featuring a heavy, free-form, rounded triangular shape. It is constructed from cased glass, characterized by a vibrant deep cobalt blue interior layer entirely encased within a thick, clear, colorless glass exterior. The rim features three subtle indented rests, consistent with its use as an ashtray. The piece exhibits the solid, heavy quality typical of Italian art glass of this period. There are no visible manufacturer markings, labels, or etched signatures.
Approximately 12.5 cm (5 inches) wide.
