A character jug, likely earthenware or porcelain, consistent with the style of Royal Doulton handled jugs. The body of the jug is painted with a glazed rural landscape featuring rolling green hills, fencing, a small structure, and white sheep or goats under a pale blue sky. The handle is sculpted as a full-figure representation of the ‘Gamekeeper’ character, dressed in hunting attire including a green cap, brown jacket, and dark boots, aiming a black rifle across the rim of the jug. The jug is accompanied by its original cardboard retail box, which is labeled “Collector’s Jug” and “Gamekeeper,” framed by a decorative vine motif. The jug measures approximately 7 inches in height.
