A single West German Art Pottery (WGP) vase, characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern period, often referred to as the “Fat Lava” style. Constructed from stoneware, the tall cylindrical body features a highly textured, mottled glaze in glossy brown and ochre with dark speckling. The exterior is decorated with deeply impressed concentric circle and spiral patterns. The interior rim is finished with a dark glaze. The base is embossed with the origin mark “W. GERMANY” and the production number “282=20.”
