Another Great Auction 16th December
A single West German Art Pottery vase, dating to the Mid-Century Modern period. The vase features an ovoid body and a subtle flared collar rim. It is constructed from heavy earthenware or stoneware, characterized by a deeply ribbed texture created by horizontal concentric grooves. The exterior is finished with a speckled, matte off-white/cream glaze that allows the pinkish-tan tones of the terracotta body to show through within the recessed grooves, consistent with West German production of the 1960s or 1970s. The unglazed base is molded with the manufacturing identifiers 7804-20 and the origin mark W. GERMA..
Approximate height: 8 inches.
