A single piece of Mid-Century Modern art glass, attributed to Murano, Italy. The piece is constructed using the sommerso technique, featuring heavy, layered glass in a free-form, abstract triangular silhouette. The internal coloration transitions from deep ruby red to vibrant orange and amber swirls, encased within a thick layer of clear glass that forms the base and rim. The piece functions as a decorative dish or catchall, often marketed as a cigar ashtray. No visible maker’s marks or signatures are present.
