Another Great Auction 16th December
A West German Art Pottery vase manufactured by Scheurich Keramik, identified by the impressed model number 292-15. The ceramic vase features a globular body characterized by vertical ribbing or fluting. It is finished in a transitional glaze scheme typical of mid-century WGP. The lower body displays a mottled beige and off-white glaze with rust-colored speckling. This contrasts sharply with the glossy dark brown/black glaze applied to the short neck, wide rolled rim, and interior. The base is impressed with the model and size number 292-15, surrounded by molded text identifying the manufacturer and country of origin. The vase stands approximately 6 inches tall.
