A specialized cooking vessel identified in the market as a French copper escargot and egg poacher pan. The circular pan is constructed of hammered copper with a tinned interior lining. It features seven deep, circular depressions, arranged in a pattern of two, three, and two, intended for specific baking or poaching preparations. Opposing loop handles, constructed of brass or bronze, are affixed to the rim. No discernible maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible.
