Another Great Auction 16th December
A single, large primitive object constructed of heavy, dark hardwood, likely serving as a component from an antique mill mechanism, pulley system, or large agricultural wheel. The circular wooden disk exhibits deep, visible grain separation and fissuring consistent with prolonged exposure and age. The front face features three vertically oriented, arched rectangular recesses. The reverse side contains a single, central vertical rectangular aperture. An oxidized iron suspension ring is secured to the top edge of the disk by a piece of distressed metal hardware. No discernible maker’s marks or inscriptions are present.
Height (including suspension ring): 22 inches (56 cm)
