Another Great Auction 16th December
A bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark X Blended Scotch Whisky, accompanied by its original black presentation box. The clear glass bottle contains a golden-amber spirit and features the central ‘X’ Trade Mark logo prominently on the label. The label details the strength as 45.6% vol. (80º Proof) and the volume as 70cl/700ml. Inscriptions on the label note the lineage: “Established 1854,” “Registered 1877,” and “Revived 2017” by Norman Mathison. The accompanying black presentation box features matching gold foil text and includes a historical quote attributed to Alfred Barnard (1888): “It is an open secret, that ‘a wee drappie’ of Mr. Eadie’s own blend of Scotch whisky is here dispensed to a favoured few.” The bottle is sealed and appears full.
