A collection of five items characteristic of vintage Scottish sporting jewelry, often referred to as Grouse Foot Brooches or Miser’s Paws. The lot comprises four taxidermy animal paws, likely grouse or ptarmigan feet, fitted with various metal jewelry components. These fittings include polished chrome-like silver-tone, engraved silver-tone, and plain copper-tone ferrules. The metalwork is embellished with paste gemstones in shades of red, pink, and amber/orange, along with decorative motifs including tiny bells, a wreath, and simple ring settings. The fifth item is a separate accessory, a light brown translucent object carved in the detailed form of a leaf or feather, likely fashioned from horn or early plastic. No visible manufacturer’s marks or hallmarks are present on any of the components.
