A pair of handmade folk art textile dolls, constructed primarily from stuffed brown fabric. The figures are dressed in printed blue and white cotton fabric, suggestive of shweshwe or similar regional prints. The larger doll features braided straw hair and wears a complex ensemble consisting of a patterned shirt, shorts, and a wrap-around skirt made of textured blue and orange felt-like material. This larger doll is further embellished with a small rectangle of white, green, and dark beadwork attached to the skirt by a silver-toned safety pin. The smaller companion doll wears a simplified matching patterned dress with an integrated hood. Both figures have stitched facial features, including red thread used for the mouths and simple white elements for the eyes.
