A single framed portrait miniature depicting a woman in three-quarter profile wearing an Empire-style red gown with sheer white sleeves. The hand-painted circular miniature features the subject set against a background transitioning from golden yellow to light blue, encircled by a garland of small blue flowers. The painting is secured by a heavily patinated decorative metal bezel and housed within a square frame constructed of dark brown and amber mottled material, likely molded resin, celluloid, or possibly Bakelite, designed to mimic tortoiseshell. A legible signature reading Stieler is visible painted near the subject’s right arm. The frame includes a metal hanging loop at the top.
