A single Royal Crown Derby bone china figurine, identified as “Scruff,” depicting a recumbent spaniel puppy. The piece is decorated with hand-painted russet and brown patches over a white ground, accented by extensive gold gilding. Research confirms this model is often referred to as a paperweight and was issued as an exclusive gift for the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild Members Pack. The underside features the red printed Royal Crown Derby backstamp reading “ENGLISH BONE CHINA,” “An Exclusive for the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild,” and the copyright date “© 2004 ROYAL CROWN DERBY.” The production date “MMVII” (2007) is also marked. An inlaid gold-toned medallion stamped “ROYAL CROWN DERBY MADE IN ENGLAND” is present in the base. The figurine is presented in its original navy blue fitted presentation packaging, marked relating to a “MEMBERS PACK.”
