A wall-mounted coffee grinder manufactured by Pe De (Peter Dienes). The ceramic hopper features a white glaze decorated with a reddish-brown (sepia) transfer print in the Delft or Dutch Windmill style. The decoration depicts a Dutch windmill landscape scene centered within a rococo-style cartouche and surrounded by floral motifs. The grinding mechanism and mounting frame are constructed of cream-painted cast metal. The grinder includes a metal crank arm terminating in a wooden handle grip, and a clear glass receptacle (catcher) attached below the mechanism. The text “Pe De” is visible on the metal body beneath the ceramic hopper.
