A pair of traditional folk-art string puppets, consistent with the style of Indian Kathputli figures. Each figure features a carved and painted wooden head with dark brown skin tones and expressive features. The bodies are constructed of stuffed fabric. Both puppets are elaborately dressed in patterned cotton folk costumes accented with metallic silver braided trim. The male figure wears a striped wooden turban and a beige floral upper garment. The female figure wears a green floral choli and a black head covering decorated with silver tinsel. Both are clad in voluminous skirts primarily made of red and yellow patterned fabric. White control strings are visible.
