The collection consists of 10 pieces of blue and white ceramic dinnerware and decorative vessels, primarily attributed to Royal Doulton in the “Real Old Willow” pattern, or a similar Chinoiserie transfer-printed design. The assembly includes three plates or shallow bowls (one large decorative plate, one shallow soup bowl, and one shallow bowl with a perforated rim and butterfly motif), four vases of varying heights and shapes (two large ovoid jars with Chinoiserie landscapes, one flared neck vase, and one narrow bottle vase), one small covered sugar bowl with handles decorated in a complex landscape scene, and a matching pair of lidded tureens or sugar bowls with handles featuring simpler floral sprays. The items are constructed of earthenware or porcelain, utilizing transfer printing techniques typical of 19th or 20th Century British interpretations of Chinese export styles. The decoration is predominantly blue on a white ground, featuring pagodas, bridges, birds, and figures in traditional Chinoiserie settings, alongside floral and butterfly motifs on some pieces. The inclusion of Royal Doulton is supported by market research identifying this pattern.
