A collection of 28 vintage first aid items, primarily composed of packaged medical supplies manufactured by Johnson & Johnson (or Johnson’s) and B.P.C. Quality Materials. The collection is centered around a rectangular metal First Aid kit tin with a hinged lid, stenciled with “FIRST AID” in faded red capitals on the exterior. Research suggests similar kits were marketed as “Allstate Home and Auto First Aid Kits” by Sears Roebuck or as specific Johnson & Johnson Outfits. The contents include 15 packaged supplies stored inside the tin, such as Cotton Wool and various Sterilised Lint Dressings. An additional 12 items are displayed externally, including two large packaged Triangular Calico Bandages, Sterilised Eye Pads, Sulphacetamide Eye Ointment B.P., and a creased paper document titled “ADVICE ON FIRST AID TREATMENT,” marked “FACTORIES ACT 1961” and “FORM 1008.”
