A collection of eighteen linked segments designed to form a waist belt, likely dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian period. The segments are constructed of Electro-Plated Nickel Silver (EPNS). The design features ornate openwork in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style, comprising repeating scalloped geometric links interspersed with larger decorative panels. Each large panel incorporates a central medallion surrounded by elaborate scrolling foliage and a prominent stylized monogram, appearing to be ‘H’ or ‘A’. The reverse of the linking bars is stamped EPNS and features small diamond and star hallmarks, confirming the material and plating method.
