A pair of antique English candlesticks featuring stems constructed from dark-stained oak executed in the characteristic barley-twist (spiral-turned) design. The stems terminate in circular, stepped bases. Each wooden stem is surmounted by a metal assembly, identified by market consensus as brass, which includes a polished collar and an ornate candle nozzle component. The nozzle displays relief work with foliate or floral motifs.
