A single piece of traditional Afghani or Kuchi tribal jewelry, identified through market consensus as a Matha Patti (headpiece) or wide choker necklace. The construction utilizes a black fabric backing, bordered along the top edge by rows of small orange/red and white glass seed beads. The central decorative band is composed of heavily textured, interconnected metal panels, featuring a combination of brass-tone components and oxidized silver-tone frames. These panels are inlaid with large, prominent circular and triangular cabochons of colored glass or resin, primarily in vibrant red and green, accented by smaller multi-colored stones set around the central elements. Attached to the lower edge are numerous silver-tone metal dangles, fashioned as stylized coin or floral motifs. The piece secures via black textile ties located at the ends.
