A collection of two disparate mid-20th century souvenir items. The first is a religious souvenir plaque constructed of mottled amber/brown faux tortoiseshell plastic or celluloid. It features an inset circular silver-toned metal medallion depicting Notre Dame de Beauraing surrounded by figures. The medallion is inscribed in French “N. D. DE BEAU RAING. PRIEZ POUR NOUS.” The plaque is further engraved “SOUVENIR de BEAURAINING.” The second item is a round, hinged silver-toned metal case, likely base metal. The lid is engraved with the crowned cannon insignia of the Royal Artillery and the Latin motto “QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT” (“Whither Right and Glory Lead”). Both pieces show characteristics consistent with mid-20th century production.
