An antique decorative leather belt, identified through research context as a commemorative souvenir or trophy belt, likely associated with British military or civic groups. The strap is constructed from dark brown aged leather exhibiting a visible surface texture. The belt is adorned with a collection of 16 mixed metal attachments, comprising both silver-toned crests and brass/gold-toned medallions, affixed along the length of the strap. Identifiable inscriptions on the silver-toned crests include “8TH KING’S,” “DUBLIN” (accompanying an Irish harp motif), and a banner reading “THE WEST RIDING,” suggesting affiliations with military or civic groups related to both Ireland and Yorkshire. The belt features several punched holes for adjustment and is secured by a functional silver-toned buckle.
