A single cold-painted cast metal sculpture attributed to Franz Bergman (Austrian, 1861-1936). The piece is executed in the Orientalist style, characteristic of the Vienna Bronze school. It depicts a kneeling male figure, likely a musician or snake charmer, wearing a turban and playing a wind instrument. The figure is situated on a rectangular base cast to resemble a richly patterned Oriental rug, complete with fringed ends. The sculpture is finished with cold painting in browns, reds, yellows, and blues. A faint stamped or painted mark reading AUSTRIA is visible on the underside of the base, consistent with the identified origin.
