A single anthropomorphic sculpture attributed to the Yoruba peoples of Nigeria, commonly identified as an Ere Ibeji twin figure. The figure is carved from wood, depicting a standing female with stylized features including a large head, an open mouth showing teeth, and prominent breasts. The surface is heavily polychromed, featuring a vibrant red pigment applied to the head and upper torso, contrasting with a dark brown/black patina over the lower body. The figure is decorated with incised geometric designs, including abstract triangular patterns on the abdomen and large circular motifs on the thighs, highlighted with light (white/tan) and blue pigments. The arms are bent at the elbow, resting at the sides of the torso.
