A single circular sports award medal or fob pendant, confirmed to be 9-carat gold based on the visible stamp. The object is representative of early 20th-century sporting awards, explicitly dated to the 1927-1928 season. The obverse features an outer ring deeply engraved with scrolling ornamentation, framing a central applied escutcheon bearing a relief image of a castle and a crescent moon, set against a red enameled background. The reverse is engraved with the maker and retailer details, ANGE & DUERDEN / MORLEY, and the award inscription: D & D. RUGBY LGE / 1927-8. Additional marks near the bottom edge include the material content 9ct GOLD and a partial maker’s mark D & T.
