A collection of two individual pairs of heavy-duty antique shears, constructed entirely from ferrous metal (iron or steel). These items are consistent with utility or tailoring shears from the 19th or early 20th century. The first pair features a complex, adjustable pivot mechanism secured by a visible bolt and a knurled knob, along with a distinct metal support or finger rest extending from the lower handle loop. The second pair utilizes a simpler, fixed riveted pivot mechanism. Both pairs exhibit large handle loops designed for heavy-duty use. No legible text, maker’s marks, or stamps are discernible on either item due to extensive surface degradation.
