This is a single wooden coffer or blanket box, consistent with the style of 19th and early 20th-century revivalist furniture. The piece features a hinged rectangular lid and is supported by four squat bun feet. The front facade is constructed with three recessed panels separated by vertical stiles. These stiles display carved decoration featuring a repeating geometric or chain-link pattern. The construction appears to be wood, potentially utilizing veneer over a substrate, finished in a dark stain resembling oak. The form is widely recognized in the market as an Antique English Oak Coffer or Blanket Chest. No manufacturer markings or labels are visible.
