A collection of four vintage US military communication headset assemblies and associated components, consistent with WWII-era aviation or naval surplus equipment. The lot includes one relatively complete overhead headset assembly featuring large olive drab earcups, a rubberized headband, and dark aged leather suspension straps. The remaining three assemblies consist of pairs of smaller black molded plastic earcups, likely Bakelite, linked by metal bands or canvas straps. The lot also contains a rectangular black junction box marked with white text including the phrases COMMUNICATE REC. TEL. REQ. and OFF ON switch positions. Wiring is extensive, utilizing black, brown, and tan fabric-wrapped cables terminating in various plugs and connectors, including standard phone jacks. Materials include molded plastic, canvas, rubber, leather, and metal. The collection is presented as a salvage lot.
