A wall-mounted mechanical tubular chime unit, likely functioning as a doorbell or signaling device, consistent with an early 20th-century aesthetic. The unit features a shield-shaped backplate constructed of stained dark wood. Suspended from a circular brass-toned metal plate are five individual metal tubular chimes. A central striker rod, tipped with a dark wooden knob, hangs in the middle position, designed to strike the chimes when activated. A small, illegible white inventory or price sticker is affixed to the upper brass mounting plate.
