A single military figurine depicting a standing soldier, likely an officer, of the 21st Regiment of Lancers, commemorating the Battle of Omdurman in 1898. The miniature is constructed from a silver-toned metal, likely pewter or white metal, and features detailed rendering of the colonial-era uniform, including a pith helmet and accoutrements. The figure is mounted onto a rectangular metal platform which is secured to a dark, tiered wooden plinth. An etched metal plaque is affixed to the front of the plinth, inscribed: “The 21st Regiment of Lancers Omdurman 1898.”
