This is a single, ornate double inkstand (desk stand) crafted from cast brass or bronze, reflecting the heavily stylized Victorian or Rococo Revival aesthetic popular in the late 19th century. The piece is constructed around an oblong tray base featuring heavily scrolled, pierced foliate and acanthus leaf decoration. The base supports two cylindrical ink pots, each fitted with a hinged, domed lid. The lids feature matching decorative casting and are topped with a small finial. The overall design is consistent with antique ornate brass double inkwells found in the market. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible.
