A single ceramic lidded music box produced by Ardleigh Elliott in 2001, identified as ‘Wonder,’ the Fifth issue in Mimi Jobe’s Fairyland Music Box Collection. The vessel is finished in a deep purple, glitter-speckled glaze, featuring a transfer decoration around the central body depicting a nighttime woodland scene with fairies and a unicorn. The piece is accented with silver-tone metallic handles, gold-tone trim, and a small finial figure on the lid. A blue faux gemstone detail is mounted on the front of the vessel. The music box mechanism is housed within the unglazed white interior and plays the tune “What a Wonderful World.” The base contains extensive printed markings identifying the piece as ‘Wonder,’ ‘Fifth issue in Mimi Jobe’s Fairyland Music Box Collection,’ ‘Plays the music of: What a Wonderful World,’ the unique number ‘No. A0804,’ and the copyright ‘©2001 Ardleigh Elliott 72045.’
