A two-piece set consisting of a lidded music box and an accompanying oval serving tray, produced by Ardleigh Elliott in 2001 as part of the Lena Liu’s Enchanted Wings Heirloom Porcelain Music Box Collection. The set is constructed of ceramic or porcelain and features extensive gilt accents applied to the scalloped rims, the scrolling handles of the tray, and the four feet and butterfly finial of the box. The decoration utilizes detailed transfer prints and painting depicting flowering gardens and numerous butterflies rendered in pastel shades of green, pink, and purple. The music box is quadrangular in form. The base of the box is marked with the collection details, identifying the specific issue as “Dreams to Treasure,” the Third Issue in the collection, and the specific issue number as B1218. The Music Selection is “Beautiful Dreamer.”
