The piece is designed in the Orientalist novelty style popular in the late 19th or early 20th century, depicting the head of a man. The figure features textured black hair and beard, a dark skin tone, and white-painted eyes. The removable lid is formed by a rust-red fez or cap. The interior base of the head section is marked with handwritten black ink ‘106.’, and the corresponding interior of the lid section bears the marking ‘120’.
