Another Great Auction 29th January
Two fine porcelain unicorn figurines from the Princeton Gallery collection. The first, titled Love’s Delight and dated 1989, features a matte white bisque unicorn posed against a textured dark gray and green base. The second, titled Love’s Rainbow and dated 1996, depicts a unicorn rearing over a stylized rainbow and cloud formation. Both sculptures are constructed from fine porcelain with applied floral accents in shades of pink, yellow, blue, and purple. The horns feature a metallic gold-tone finish. Underside markings on both pieces identify the titles, the manufacturer as Princeton Gallery, and the material as fine porcelain. The Love’s Rainbow figure includes a Handcrafted in China label and an aperture on the underside. The largest sculpture measures approximately 9 by 10 inches.
