Another Great Auction 29th January
This lot comprises 11 pieces of ceramic tableware and decorative items. The collection includes two Ridgway blue and white oval plates in the Jacobean pattern and two red floral Chinoiserie-style plates including Spode transferware. A commemorative plate for Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Wakefield (1591-1991) is included, featuring heraldic shields and the motto TURPE NESCIRE. The set further contains three lidded rectangular serving tureens decorated with floral landscape scenes, one of which includes a matching ladle. Completing the lot are a Burlington Sly Drinker character jug, a tall white vase with lavender-style floral motifs, and a silver-toned textured mug.
