Another Great Auction 29th January
A pair of coins featuring designs inspired by the United States American Silver Eagle bullion coin. The obverse of each coin displays the Walking Liberty design with the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, with one coin dated 1908 and the other dated 1904. The reverse sides show a heraldic eagle with a shield, holding an olive branch and arrows, surrounded by the text UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER—ONE DOLLAR, and the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. These items are modern replica or fantasy pieces, as the official American Silver Eagle series was first minted in 1986.
