Another Great Auction 29th January
A pair of Chinese silver-colored ornamental coins from the Republic of China era. The first coin is a 1928 (Year 17) Guizhou Auto Dollar, featuring a stylized sedan on the obverse and Chinese characters on the reverse indicating the Guizhou Provincial Government and the one dollar denomination. The second coin is a Sun Yat-sen Junk Dollar, featuring a profile portrait of Sun Yat-sen on the obverse and a sailing junk on the reverse with characters for one dollar. Both coins are struck in a silver-colored metal and exhibit traditional motifs from the early 20th century.
