Another Great Auction 29th January
A collection of World War I British military medals and original service documents attributed to Lance Corporal Frank Leach of the Royal Marine Medical Unit (R.M.M.U.), service number Deal. 4223(S). The group includes a silver British War Medal, a bronze Victory Medal, and a silver-colored George V Imperial Service Medal. The Imperial Service Medal is housed in its original black presentation case with a red and blue striped ribbon. The collection is accompanied by several original paper documents, including a 1919 Certificate of Discharge from the Royal Marines, a Protection Certificate and Certificate of Identity, and a Certificate of Employment during the war. Also present is the original cardboard mailing box addressed to L. Cpl. F. Leach. The medals feature impressed naming on the rims corresponding to the recipient.
