A Wills’s Cigarette Card Album featuring a red textured cloth-bound cover with gilt-embossed title script. The interior contains dark green cardstock pages housing a collection of early 20th-century cigarette cards. The cards are organized into several thematic series, including naval ship crests and badges such as HMS Hood, HMS Repulse, and HMS Revenge. Natural history and scientific subjects are represented with cards depicting the Tasmanian Devil, A Comet, Pumice Stone, Book-Worms, and Fairy Rings. The album also includes a series of portraits of silent film era actors and actresses, with identified subjects including Bebe Daniels, Marion Davies, Richard Barthelmess, Syd Chaplin, Clive Brook, and Norma Shearer. The cards are inserted into pre-cut slots within the album pages.
