Another Great Auction 29th January
Two wooden mantel clocks of varying designs. The first clock features an arched-top case in a light-toned wood, decorated with linear stringing and scrollwork inlay. It has a white dial with black Roman numerals and blue-steeled hands, set behind a circular brass bezel. The second, larger clock is constructed with a dark-grained wood case and a matching wood-faced dial. This dial is set with applied silver-toned Roman numerals and ornate hands. It is a three-train movement, indicated by three winding apertures on the face, and bears the maker mark SMITHS faintly visible on the dial.
