An early 20th century octagonal jewelry casket of cast metal construction featuring a two-tone decorative finish. The hinged lid is designed with a central unengraved oval cartouche bordered by beaded and foliate relief decoration, including fleur-de-lis motifs at the corners, all set against a textured cross-hatched ground. The stepped sides display repeating beaded patterns and scrollwork moldings. The interior is fitted with a brass-toned catch mechanism.
